About Pour Decisions

Toby wasn’t supposed to change my life. He just appeared one cold winter evening, thin, injured and clearly out of options. I put down food, assuming he’d vanish by morning. Instead, he decided I was staff and never left.

It took patience, vet visits and a bout of cellulitis before he officially moved in. Somewhere in the middle of that chaos, I started experimenting with resin art. What began as a creative outlet slowly became something bigger and grew into a way to bring colour, calm, and curiosity into the world while helping both of us heal a little.

These days, Toby keeps me company while I work. He supervises every pour from his favourite perch and occasionally inspects orders with a headbutt. He loves paper bags, shouting at magpies, and attention on his own terms. If you ever find a stray cat hair in your parcel, consider it a limited-edition signature.

I’m Chantal, the human behind the scenes. I was born in the Netherlands and made my home in Belfast, where I pour every piece by hand. I’m autistic, which means I notice details others might miss, like the way light moves through pigment, how texture changes with each layer, the subtle unpredictability of resin. Every pour tells its own story, just like Toby and me.

Pour Decisions Gifts is built on second chances, patience, and a healthy respect for imperfection. Toby might be the face of the business, but I’m the one trying to keep the resin out of his fur.
